Student loans: are you still waiting? (Daily Telegraph) Posted: 15 Sep 2009 04:06 AM PDT The Student Loans Company has admitted that it has been forced to take on extra staff to deal with record numbers of applications made for finance this year. It is feared the backlog may have hit thousands of students, with many complaining about a loss of personal documents, repeated website failures and lack of response from a helpline. The Conservatives claim students may have to start university without a money for rent and books, while some will be unable to enrol at all. Have you – or a family member – been affected?
